LED Tail Lamp Housings with metal brackets.: I purchased this specific set because they were advertised with sturdy metal brackets to protect the lamp housings. Time will tell if can withstand abuse. I was shocked to open the package and find the brackets had no paint, no coating of any type. Raw metal already beginning to rust. So beware, you will have to paint the brackets yourself. The LED lamp housings were easy enough to connect, but it would have been nicer if the hard-wired pigtails were a little longer. These were not more than 5-6 inches long which gave me little wiggle room to reach the existing trailer wiring. The opening to the lamp housing, where the wires exited, was very poorly silicone caulked shut. I have them installed for a few weeks now and so far, so good. I’ll update this if I discover issues.

Good idea. Not perfect. Could use improvements.: I break the tail lights my trailer each year. I wanted something to help prevent this. I believe this is an improvement but not what I was hoping for. They are very bright and visible. Easy to install. My only concern is that the housing and light are mounted using the bolts protruded from the plastic light light housing. Even though this will improve resistance, if the housing takes a good hit the light will break because the metal housing is only held in place by the light. I plan to add additional bolts to hold the housing in place by itself then bolt the light into place.

Good protection for poorly located lights: Had replaced lights on trailer several times over the years after they were damaged because they had no protection. These steel covers fasten on with the light studs and seem very secure. They come unpainted but were easy to paint with a spray can.

worked great: had to throw a coat of paint on them, but once it was dry the bolted right on and the lights are nice and bright. great price, fast shipping
B Murray –
appear to be good lights: they are an easy install, had to slightly drill one of the holes in the metal housing as it did not quite fit, but only a very very little. Just had to hit it with the drill to knock the edge off. other than that worked and fit perfectly. very happy

Great lights: I love everything but the fact the protector is raw iron and needs painting. Other than that all is great.

Life changing: Love these lights only thing sucks is that it’s raw steel. I wish they we painted. But worth every penny makes the lights bullet proof.
RICK W –
Worth the cost, but little weld: The lights and the steel are worth the cost, but they are only spot welded with 4 small welds. Time will tell ho they hold up.
David –
Exact replacement for carry on 5×8 mesh trailer: Easy to install. Hopefully the guards will keep me from breaking the lens/housing of the lights. I just wish there were inexpensive replacement lens for these LED lights like there are for the incandescent lights.
