Great value and easy to install: Purchased a set of these recessed d-rings for my open car trailer to give me additional tie down locations. They were easy to install and these have thicker backing plates than other d-ring sets. They were delivered on time. I have used them a few times to tie down my car on my trailer and they worked great. Only improvement I would suggest is for the manufacturer to provide a torque specification for the carriage bolts & nuts. I contacted them a couple of times about this and they either didn’t know what torqueing was or said to just make it tight. These d-rings are being used to tie down heavy and valuable items so a torque spec would be beneficial to make sure the d-ring stays attached and an accident doesn’t happen.

Value for the money but hardware too long for enclosed trailer floor: These were a good value for the money but be aware the supplied mounting bolts are too long for my enclosed trailer floor. This would have worked for my open car hauler with 2×8 flooring but my enclosed trailer is 3/4″ plywood so I had to get shorted carriage bolts. I couldn’t saw the supplied ones shorter because of the length of the bolt shoulder. Still, you can’t beat the price on Libra.

Will hold down cars and lawn tractors in a trailer.: I bought these d rings to mount in my trailer to hold down my lawn tractor. Obviously they are strong enough to hold a car as well. The came with all the hardware necessary for installation. I created a cardboard template, drew the pattern on the floor of the trailer being careful to locate where there was no interference below, drilled a 3” hole with a hole saw and then used a saber saw to finish the pattern to match the template. Drilled four holes for the 3/8” bolts and installed. I’m pleased with the design and completeness of the set.

Everything included at a great price!: Superb bargain! I just bought identical D-rings from an auto parts store for double what I paid for these here on Libra. When I realized I needed more I looked here on Libra. The ones I bought from the auto parts store are rated the same workload but did not come with backing plates or carriage bolts. A close inspection makes me believe they’re made by the same manufacturer. Mounted these on a trailer for motorcycle tie-down and these things are indeed heavy duty. I’d buy these again in a second.

arrived quickly: heavy back plate used 2.5 hole saw and routed for pivot 3″ would be easier but 2.5 left more deck material and stronger ? not using for vehicle tie down. hardware worked fine

Strong product, comes with the backing plates.: great quality, complete kit with backing plates and bolts. I was not a total fan of the nuts. Three of the nuts were not threaded properly and had to trash and get new ones. Also the nuts were thinner than any standard nut. I think they would strip easily. Go to the hardware and get new nuts.

These are awesome D-Rings. They are heavy and strong: These are awesome D-Rings. They are heavy and strong. The hardware is fantastic, bright shiny with Nylock nuts. Some other reviewers complained that the nuts would not screw on the bolt. That is the Nylock function. The nuts can be started by hand, then you need a rachet to get them all the way down. It prevents the nut from vibrating loose. These cost more than regular nuts and I appreciate that seller includes these. I will buy some more soon!
